Privacy Policy

1. What We Do

jieume ("지음") is a free service that analyzes your uploaded photo using AI to suggest Korean names based on your facial impression. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

2. Photo Processing

Your photo is never stored. When you upload a photo, it is processed entirely in server memory, sent to the AI analysis service (Claude Vision API by Anthropic), and immediately discarded. We do not save, cache, or retain your photo in any form — no database, no file storage, no backups.

3. Data We Collect

We only store the following text-based result data:

• Generated Korean names (3 per result)
• Facial impression keywords (e.g., "calm, warm, intelligent")
• Name meanings and recommendation reasons
• Optional vibe/mood input you provided
• Timestamp of when the result was created

We do not collect your real name, email, IP address, or any other personally identifiable information. No account creation is required.

4. How We Use Your Data

Result data is stored solely to enable shareable result links (e.g., sharing your Korean name card on social media). We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than displaying your result.

5. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude Vision API) — processes your photo for facial impression analysis. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — hosts our database for storing text-based results only.
• Vercel — hosts our application.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your result data
• Opt out of any data collection
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

Since we do not collect personal identifiers, your result is only accessible via its unique link. If you wish to request deletion, please contact us with your result URL.

7. Data Retention

Result data is retained indefinitely to keep shared links functional. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

jieume is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used this service, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
